The OE-A now has more than 100 membersThe Organic Electronics Association (OE-A) is growing worldwide. Recent new memberships demonstrate OE-A´s role as the key international industry association for organic and printed electronics.
Frankfurt/Main, Germany, September 18, 2008. - Since its founding in late 2004, OE-A followed the approach to provide the premier international industry network for the community. “With the continuous growth of membership, the OE-A strengthens its position as the key industry association in the field of organic and printed electronics worldwide”, says Wolfgang Mildner, Chairman of the OE-A Board and Managing Director of Poly IC GmbH & Co. KG. “The number of OE-A members more than tripled in less than four years and we are very pleased about the great support we receive from the major players in Europe, North America, and Asia.”The OE-A supports its members with numerous services like working groups, roadmaps, conferences, education and training in the area of organic and printed electronics. Recent new memberships reflect that the activities of the OE-A are important for the entire value chain: equipment manufacturer Kammann Machines, device manufacturer Werner Blase GmbH & Co.KG, material supplier Printcolor Deutschland GmbH, and end-users Tyco Electronics and The Marketing Store. They joined the global network of the OE-A and thus contribute to promoting this emerging technology which is currently moving from lab-scale activities to production.
“The OE-A is an integral part of the VDMA division ‘Innovative Business’. The great international success and the rapid growth of the OE-A underscores the innovative strength of the VDMA and the engineering industry as such.” says Dr. Hannes Hesse, Executive Director of the VDMA. | | |
