Projects
PolyIC works on several projects, amongst others on projects with the German Federal Ministry of Education & Research and the European Union.
In the field of Technology, PolyIC has the following projects:
PolyIC, BASF, Evonik Industries, Elantas Beck and Siemens have announced the launch of a new German Federal Ministry of Education & Research (BMBF)-sponsored alliance project called MaDriX to advance the development of high-performance printable Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags. PolyIC leads the consortium engaged in the three-year joint project (start: October 2007). The total investment sum amounts to some €15 million, with the BMBF contributing approximately €8 million. The project is funded as part of the BMBF's 5th Framework Program "Key Technologies - Research for Innovations, Communications Technology Sector." The Project Management Agency DLR, is acting as project sponsor. With MaDriX, the companies involved in the alliance and the federal ministry will secure Germany's current leadership as a research base in the printable electronics sector.
ROLLED
The main focus of the ROLLED project is on the development of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) that are fabricated in a roll-to-roll process. In this European project conducted with many partners from industry and research, PolyIC works on the activation of OLEDs with printed electronics.
The project is funded in line with the 6th Framework Programme of the European Union.
In the field of Applications, PolyIC has the following projects:
The goal of the project Prisma (Printed Smart RFID labels) is it to test applications for polymer electronics in different areas with RFID. These areas are ticketing in public transportation, security documents as well as event tickets. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education & Research and through the Project Management Agency VDI/VDE/IT in Berlin. More on the project Prisma is available at its website or on our website in the Press section.
