Touch keys
Touch keys are electronic switching devices with no moving parts, which are operated by
finger touch. The switching process is triggered while touching a surface, for example, by a
change in capacitance.
Touch key demonstrator that contains the PolyTC film as controls
Under the brand name PolyTC, PolyIC produces transparent conductive films with which you
can achieve flat touch keys as controls.
This capacitive sensor buttons as controls, based on PolyTC films, have the following
advantages:
- transparent / invisible
- backlit
- thin and flexible
PolyTC also offers many other advantages:
- high conductivity
- ready for integration
- individually structurable - custom layout possible
- available on roll
- large quantities available
- flat capacitive touch buttons possible to achieve controls
- sensor with wiring can be produced in one process
- modern design / extravagant button design feasible
These benefits can be used anywhere where controls have to be easily kept clean. Another
benefit is the modern design without additional mechanical elements.
Applications for controls
- in the vehicle interior
- in white goods
- in brown goods
- in medical devices
